Days 1,2 & 3 - Cape Town & Peninsula

Kruger National Park

Nestled between beautiful Lions Head and the 12 Apostles mountain range, African Dreams Guest House is situated in the heart of Camps Bay and boasts a panoramic sea and mountain view that has to be seen to be believed. Minutes away from cango_cavesCape Town’s world famous Clifton and Camp’s Bay beaches, as well as the City of Cape Town, one couldn’t find a location that is this close to so many of the charms and so much of the beauty of Cape Town.

Day 1: Cape Town
You will be met by your Dream Travel host at Cape Town International Airport and transferred to your hotel in Camps Bay. Dinner in Clifton and relax after the long flight.

Day 2: Table Mountain, V&A Waterfront & Robben Island
Kruger AccommodationTake a cable car ride up Table Mountain; visit Nelson Mandela’s jail cell on Robben Island; enjoy the star-studded beaches at Camps Bay; spend the evening on Cape Town’s posh beach strip -- the Cape’s culinary scene is exquisite, and your guide will point out the best restaurants if you’d like. (Alternate activities available: shop at the V&A Waterfront, visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, hike up Table Mountain, etc.)

Day 3: Cape Point & Penguins (Boulders Beach)
Drive to Cape Point for a spectacular view of the Cape of Storms from high up on the rocky cliffs. Visit Simons Town and Boulders Beach with a penguin population of almost 3,000. Boulders remains the only place in the world where one can actually swim amongst the penguins.

Day 4 - Winelands by Harley or White Sharks

Kruger AccommodationDay 4A - Gansbaai (Great White Shark Viewing/Diving)
Early breakfast and off to Gansbaai Harbour for a day of Great White Cage Diving with White Shark Ecoventures (weather permitting). Afterwards visit the old holiday town of Hermanus, take the chance to kick back at one of the many oceanfront restaurants and maybe spot a whale or two. Transfer back to Cape Town.

Kruger AccommodationDay 4B - Harley Tour Through the Stellenbosch Winelands
We’ll visit some of the most popular wine estates along the way, and drive the “Helshoogte Pass” all the way to the old French town of Franschoek (More details closer to departure date). Return to Cape Town for an evening on the town.

Day 5 - Outdtshoorn & Cango Caves

The public areas comprise a comfortable lounge with an open fireplace, a garden and pool area, and a library where you can relax and read or research your itinerary from the computer terminal provided for your convenience. The Boulders Lodge is fully air-conditioned, a wi-fi hotspot and a sparkling blue pool and garden Jacuzzi on the deck awaits visitors who are ready to restore peace to body and soul.

Day 5: Cango Caves & Ostrich Farms
After breakfast you will depart towards Outdshoorn, the town of ostiches and caves. Enjoy true South African cuisine (an ostrich steak, if you dare), ride an ostrich (weather and weight permitting). The town is famous for it’s enormous mansions (called feather palaces) that was built by wealth created from the export of ostrich feathers. Take a walk through the majestic Cango Caves (adventure tours availible).

Day 6 - Garden Route & Knysna Lagoon

This 5-star luxury guest house in Knysna offers guests access to a private lounge, bar and a stunning cliff-edge swimming pool. Breakfast is a sumptuous affair, served whilst dolphins and whales frolic, or yachts slip silently out between the Heads. Four luxury en-suite rooms, with private balconies, capture the majestic Heads, the mighty Indian Ocean and a romantic fairytale view of the Knysna Lagoon and Outeniqua Mountains.

Day 6: Paragliding & Elephant Interactions
After breakfast, continue to the artsy town of Knysna. Visit the famous “Heads” of the lagoon. Afterwards, head to the “Map” of the pristine coastline and take a tandem Paragliding flight. Alternatively, you can enjoy a sailboat sundowner cruise on the lagoon or take a cable car to the viewpoint above the mouth of the lagoon.

Days 7 & 8- Tsitsikamma Forest & Jeffrey's Bay

Day 7: Bungy Jumping & Jeffrey’s Bay
Continue to Plettenberg Bay via the town of Wilderness and have lunch beachfront before taking a tour of this popular vacation town. Drive to Storms River Mouth and “Bridge walk” at the Bloukrans Bridge or take a Bungy if you dare (We‘ll pay if you’re brave enough -- world’s highest!).

Day 8: Jeffreys Bay
J-Bay has pristine beaches and is famous for it’s dolphins, whales and shells. It also has some of the longest breaking waves in the world, some of the tallest natural dunes, and is home to the annual Billabong Classic World Tour. In season the beaches are filled with people and it has a lively nightlife. You will be there during the height of the holiday season so prepare to have fun.

Day 9 - Addo Elephant National Park

Day 9: Addo National Park Safari
After breakfast depart towards the Addo Elephant National Park and the nearby Shamwari Game Reserve for your first taste of the African Wilderness. Take a game drive (sunset drives available) to see the large herds of elephants and other African wildlife that roam the area. Take an Elephant Back Safari to explore the park before returning for a meal cooked over the open fire.

Days 10 & 11 - Bospoort Private Reserve, Free State

Day 10: Fly to the Free State - Bospoort Reserve
This morning you will be flown by private light airplane from the Addo regoin to the Free State province in the middle of the country. There you will be taken to Bospoort Reserve for a couple of days of true South African fun. Explore the river, enjoy the warm fire, discover the southern stars, and sit back and relax in the heart of South Africa.

Day 11: Bospoort Reserve
Spend the day exploring the wilds of Bospoort: This is truly a place where you will feel the wild openness of Africa and get a taste for the adventures of “boer” life. A wide range of activities are available including Game Drives, River Tubing, Horseback Riding, 4x4 routes, and naps on our open-air couches. Relax the true South African way, and enjoy another dinner over the open fire.

Day 12 - Sabi Sands & Kruger National Park

Hippo Hollow Country Estate is perfectly situated alongside the Sabi River with the Drakensberg mountains to the west and the low-lying bushveld to the east. 35 minutes from the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. There is a full service restaurant and bar in a spectacular setting overlooking the Sabi River, offering country cuisine and a fine wine selection. The sight of Kingfishers and other beautiful water birds as well as hippos grazing on the lawns make dining a unique experience..

Day 12: Hazyview, Kruger National Park & Sabi Sands
Travel to Bloemfontein airport and take a commercial flight to The Kruger Mapumalanga Airport. Transfer to the world famous Sabi Sands Private Reserve on the border of the Kruger National Park. Book into your luxury Lodge in Hazyview near the Paul Kruger Gate. Venture out on an afternoon or evening Big 5 safari or take a elephant back ride. All meals are included at the private reserves and the facilities are luxurious and comfortable. Enjoy an evening of African Dance and large bonfires.

Days 13 & 14 - Greater Kruger & Luxury Tree House

Days 15 & 16 - Panorama Route & Pretoria

Day 15: Panorama Route & Pretoria
Enjoy an early morning game walk and breakfast before you depart towards Johannesburg via the Blyde River Canyon. Stop over at the scenic Bourkes Luck Pot Holes and visit the old mining town of Pilgrims Rest. Book into your first class hotel in Pretoria and enjoy an authentic South African dinner in the nation's capital.

Day 16: Johannesburg Lion Park & Flight Home
Visit the lion park near Krugersdorp, take the opportunity to interact with the park’s lion and tiger cubs and see the large cats up close and personal. Do some last minute shopping before being transferred to O.R. Tambo Airport for your flight back home.
